In Elephant We Trust is a new book of drawings, published in 2021, by Clinton Kirkpatrick. The drawings contained within the book were created between 2018-2020 and give a wonderful, overarching insight into the thinking and mindset behind Clinton's practice.
 
Clinton seeks to examine our surrounding world and the various facets of the human both from personal perspectives and societal perspectives. He is interested in the different structures that hold societies together whether it be political, or religious, or something else.
 
Clinton included an essay in the publication, titled 'The Water Clings to the Sponge', that he wrote during his initial Covid-19 lockdown experience which now feels simultaneously dated and relevant.
